The Saturday night cookout, hosted by Bill and Jean Kelly, was held at the Alumni Heritage House. Their co-hosts this year were Hazel and Charlie Underwood, Beverly and Jim Lougher and Dale Denham Shaffield. Charlie and Bill handled the cooking. Both did a great job with some help from their sous chefs. |

Bill seasons the burgers while Billy Teasley and Karen Merrow get the buns ready. While co-hosts, Dale and Beverly, were touring the barn, Hazel and Jean Kelly were in the kitchen getting the table set up and all the food ready. |

Soup's On! The burgers, hot dogs, cole slaw, baked beans, and fixings were a hit with the crowd. Dale asked Theresa Halcomb, the school dietitian, if she would cater the cole slaw, beans, and fruit tray. She did a beautiful job for us and made us a deal. She also loaned us coolers with ice. We are very thankful for her help and the food was delicious - but we knew it would be. |
| Unfortunately we have no picture of the dessert table in the next room. We asked everyone to bring a dessert and the response was a beautiful sight to behold. |

Brack Parkerson promised Jerry McCray '60 that she would make him a Flag
Cake and bring it to homecoming. Unfortunately Jerry was ill and
could not come. The cake and sign were still for Jerry. I know
Jerry will be glad to know his cake was enjoyed by many. Next year Jerry! |

The end of the party finds Barbara Lewis Estes, Bill Kelly, and Jack Davis relaxing on the porch. Those rockers sure do get a workout at Homecoming. It was a great party. Thanks Bill and Jean and the co-hosts for bringing us together. |
